Return to Eve
So I finally played a bit of Eve: Apocrypha, I haven’t really touched my account in months. As usual I was playing as I did something else so I still prefer taxi missions.
I did notice the improved mission structures though. I took on a mission that was actually just the normal courier X to Y but it actually had three parts that formed a more coherent narrative. Apart from the nonsense the Agents talk at the end of a mission chain the way the solo content is structured is far better.
I also liked the idea of Certificates which are useful for casual players like myself because they indicate what sets of skills work well together to achieve a basic game goal. I claimed my certificates and found out I was a refining, business guy. However I am not far off being a military drone pilot too which was quite interesting.
The final improvement I noticed was the new skill queue, although I immediately filled it with a 24 hour training (old habits die hard) it did seem to massively improve the basic skill situation where your initially skills are only going to take three hours so you never actually train them as you don’t want to log in three hours after you just finished playing.
