Metallica Guitar Hero Controller Woes
My Guitar Hero controller connects as device #7 which is fine as far as the PS3 is concerned but neither Guitar Hero or Rock Band recognise input from the controller.
After much scratching of head and fiddling of USB ports I realised that I had to manually assign a lower controller number for the game to recognise the device (I’ve tried 1 & 2).
The support FAQ states that the USB should be in position 1 but that isn’t sufficient in itself (or even necessary) and there is not mention of what the device number should be.
On the other hand, credit to Sony for making sure the guitar is compatible across rhythm games.
